LUCA is seeking Financial Aid Guides and College Coaches

Financial Aide Guide:

• Guide families through the complexities of the college financial aid process by assisting with financial aid applications (FAFSA, NYS TAP, and CSS Profile), reviewing financial award letters, and identifying options for narrowing the college cost gap.
• Work with students and families at one (or more) of their FAFSA Boot Camps hosted at a partner high school or on an appointment basis with Scholars at LUCA’s office.
• Requires participation in one training session; ability to volunteer at a FAFSA Boot Camp or on an appointment basis at LUCA’s office. The FAFSA application opens on October 1st.  (Bachelor’s Degree required)

College Coach:

• Work with college-bound seniors supporting them through the college search and application process by providing guidance and encouragement. Assist Scholars with building balanced college lists, writing high-quality personal statements, and completing the Common Application. 
• Requires participation in four training sessions; ability to meet with a student once per week from June - May. Will be recruiting for our Class of 2024 Scholars early next year.  (Bachelor's Degree required)
